Wierd

I went to Walmart a little while ago, and as I was walking in, a man was coming out. He had a big black smudge of what looked like grease smeared across his forehead. I thought mmm, maybe he has been working on his car or something. No big deal.

About 15 minutes later on the soft drink isle, there was a very pregnant lady standing there looking at drinks. She looked up at me, and she had a big black smudge of something on HER forehead. I stood there for a few seconds looking at her just to make sure I was seeing what I thought I was seeing. ---Yep, a big black smudge. I started to say something to her about it, but decided against it.

As I got to the end of the isle, I kid you not, there was an older man with a big black smudge on his forehead. Now this is weird, I thought. Each of these people appeared to be all alone and I don't think had any connection with each other.

I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone or something.

POST SCRIPT: OK. Sister Mary just informed me that today is Ash Wednesday and some religious people mark their foreheads with ashes to show penitence before God.

Uh-huh. I bet God is REALLY impressed with that. LOL.

A few years ago I was delivering coffee to the diosese here in Tyler and my contact (the secretary) came over and was helping me see what they needed for their office. We were always nice to each other and she was a really sweet girl. Well we were both on our knees looking under a cabinet , when we came up I saw a smudge on her head and I said youve got something on your head as I wiped it off... she pulled away and i thought she was gonna cry. She then told me about ash wednesday. Rudy and I went to get something to eat wed nite and 3 girls came into the rest. with 3 identical smudges on their heads, I think the pope has a stamp now days, probly so he wont get a communicable disease or something.
really sad!!!!
